I saved a 2D object. Made change to it and replace it.
How do I save the object with exactly the same properties especially the fill type?
I have been spending time going into the setting to change the fill and pen types to previous save object.

I'm not quite clear on the context of your question.

In general, when you place an element in your project, and want to place another one that is the same, you can drag a copy, or copy and paste the element in a new location. You can also eye-drop the element to pick up the settings, then use the same tool to place a new element with those settings. You can also use the Favorites palette to save a Favorite with those settings, so you can easily restore them later when you need to place a similar element.

If, on the other hand, you are referring to a new library part (2D object) that you created, the default settings for that library part are initially set when you create it. You can also select the object after you place it, and use the File menu > Libraries and Objects > Open Object command then adjust the Parameters to suit your preferences and resave the object. These settings will then be the default when you use the object tool and place that library part. Note that you can force the loading of the default settings for the object by temporarily switching in the Object Settings dialog to a different object, then coming back to the one you want to place; whenever you switch to a new object in the settings dialog, it will pick up the default settings.

Let me know if you need further clarification.
