Hello,

I just installed ArchiCAD 16 from scratch and got Master Template. When I open it up, for some reason there are alot of missing objects. The Library manager is showing alot of missing libraries.
I have already followed all of your directions on the website and relinked the hot links, but still missing objects from:
from Unknown Library
from ArchiCAD Library 13
from ArchiCAD Library 14
from ArchiCAD Library 15
from ArchiCAD Library 16
from Attributes

any help would be appreciated.

Adam

Also all of the doors are not showing up in plan.

Adam -

I apologize for not replying more promptly - I was out of town attending a conference for several days, then this just slipped down below the horizon line in my email list.

Have you used the Library Manager to load up the ArchiCAD 16 Library? You didn't mention whether you actually have that loaded in the Library Manager, or not.

If you already have it loaded, then perhaps you are using a different version of MasterTemplate than is appropriate for your library. For example, we have had people who are based in Canada or in Latin America download the International version of MasterTemplate, which expects (or is set up to use) the International version of the ArchiCAD Library. However the ArchiCAD installed from the disks for these users is actually the U.S. version, and they should use the USA version of MasterTemplate. Using the INT version of MasterTemplate with the USA Library will cause there to be lots of missing library parts, since the libraries have different designations for the components.

If this doesn't explain or help you, please let me know and I will look into your situation individually to make sure you are all set up and able to work with MasterTemplate properly.

Hello Eric and all

I think I have the same kind of library problem:

AMT 16 and ARCHICAD 16 (French version). When I start the template, everything goes fine except for missing materials (74 of them), whose names in English are "missing".
Using library manager I tried to link the supplied "AMT 16 embedded library" to the template to overcome the problem and removed the already embedded library with no success.

So I guess that the INT library has either new material that we don't have in this version or that the same materials are given french names in my current standard "french" library.
Either I try and include the missing INT materials in the "AMT 16 embedded library"(if I can find them) or I manually change the wrong material names one by one (74 items (phew!)
Am I wrong? Is there a workaround?
Wouldn't be best to directly include in the AMT INT version the missing textures in the "AMT 16 embedded library" the same way you did for US detailer?
Pretty sure that other INT "non english" versions would encounter the very same problems.

Regards

Eric,

Following the installation of the Master Template AMT21, I had all of the errors you pointed out. When I relinked them It showed the YELLOW ! with again a RELINK option. This proved fruitless so I simple continued "SKIP ALL". When all was done I got another DBX
Library Loading Report
Yellow ! Warnings: 92 (238)
> RED (folder icon) Missing Library Parts

When I select the down arrow I see the following
> (Lincoln Memorial looking Icon) from Favorites
> (Lincoln Memorial looking Icon) from ARCHICAD Library 21
> (Lincoln Memorial looking Icon) from Unknown library
> (Lincoln Memorial looking Icon) from ARCHICAD Library 20
> (Lincoln Memorial looking Icon) from ARCHICAD Library 17
> (Lincoln Memorial looking Icon) from ARCHICAD Library 19

Each with a list of assorted files. I am not familiar with the Library manager but when attempting the obvious step of looking for the item I do not find the specific file and therefore am unsure what to do now.Confused

What now?

Scott -

Please send me a screenshot of your Library Manager dialog so I can see what's going on.
Instead of posting it here it's best if you email me at support@bobrow.com.

My guess is that you have installed a different version of ARCHICAD than the one matching your MasterTemplate download. There are differences between library supplied with the USA version of ARCHICAD and the INT (international, metric) version of ARCHICAD. MasterTemplate comes in two "flavors" - USA and INT - and you need to match this with the version of ARCHICAD you're using. For most people it's pretty clear - if you're in the USA, you should use the USA version of ARCHICAD and the USA version of MasterTemplate; in most of the rest of the world (except perhaps for Canada and some Caribbean countries) users should have the INT versions.

When you send me the screenshot it will help me see if this guess is correct.
