The Worksheet approach shown in the video is designed for use as Virtual Trace for referencing while creating a model. A Trace Reference (such as this one) is not included when a View of the model is placed onto a Layout, however it may be printed from the Plan or Elevation (etc.) View if you check the box in the print dialog to "print reference".

To show the worksheet on a layout, you may create a View of the worksheet and place that View onto the layout as with any other drawing.

If you are creating a new Master, you may place the DWG as a drawing into a Worksheet then place that worksheet as a Drawing onto the Master Layout, but it won't be editable. You may select it and use the Edit menu > Reshape > Explode into Current View to bring the linework and text directly into the Master and then they will be editable.

In general, when you explode a DWG that was placed as a drawing, you'll want to choose the option (in the dialog box that shows up during the process) to only keep the linework and discard the original, rather than keep both and have them overlaid on top of each other. Also, in general you will not want all the DWG layers to be added to your project, so do not choose the option to keep elements on their original layers (this was added into ArchiCAD 13 or 14, I can't remember which) - it's best to have them all go onto the one layer that the drawing was placed onto.

Sometimes it's actually best to place your DWG directly onto the Master rather than into a worksheet, then explode it there. I think this may be useful when the DWG for the title block is in paper space.

Another alternative that is sometimes needed for bringing in a DWG as a title block is to use the File menu > File Special > Merge command, and choose to Append Paper Space to the Layout Book. This will create a new Layout with a new Master, with the contents of the Paper Space in the DWG. I've found this useful when the DWG does not come in properly in the "model space" of an ArchiCAD worksheet or plan.

Be careful to avoid messing up your layers - I suggest you save the project before doing the merge, then after bringing in the DWG check your Layer Settings to see if new layers have been added. Unfortunately, there is no Undo available when layers are added in a case like this, so I like the option of being able to close the file without saving and reopening the recently saved version before the merge.

If you find that bringing in a DWG in this manner brings in a lot of extraneous layers, then a good workaround is to create a new ArchiCAD PLN, do the Merge in that file, then change all the elements on the Layout / title block to the ArchiCAD layer using the Edit menu > Edit Selection Set, then copy them and paste them (now that they are safely on a standard layer) into your actual project.

I hope this explanation is helpful.

I am trying to create a new 11 x 17 master layout [title block sheet ] using an existing design created in Autocad. I use the above worksheet-ext ref-trace principle but I am not able to bring in the trace in the layout. Am I missing something here?
